Hey guys, so today is a very important day for me because a year ago today, I started up this blog. And I know it's still a very small one but I want to thank those who have visited this blog and seen these posts. It really means a lot to me and I just love talking about books with you guys. It is still a weekly blog and I'm proud to say that I have yet to miss a blog post this entire time, despite any crazy schedules or technical difficulties and again, thank you for supporting this blog. So, in honor of today, I want to share with you guys my top five posts that I have done so far. Here we go.
#5: Hold Me Closer Necromancer Review
I am pretty proud of this review mainly because it was my first one and I put a lot of thought into that one. It took me while to actually post it due to setting up this entire blog but once I did, I think it got a fair amount of attention. I had a lot of fun typing it out and I just think that the book was so good it deserved a whole lot more attention than what it was getting.
#4: The Testing Review
This book review was so much fun to write purely because it was a negative review. I don't do a lot of these just because I don't read a lot of books I straight up don't like but this was an exception. There's just something about letting out frustration that I love. I also feel great about the fact that all of my reasons for not liking this book are valid.
#3: Dystopian Discussion
This topic was a very interesting one to talk about and I hope you guys liked it as much as I did. I had these thoughts about the typical dystopian book for a while and it was really nice just to voice my thoughts on it. I still stand by what I said and I think I brought up some points that maybe not everyone noticed but I know some more people do now. As much as I love dystopian books, I just was something more refreshing.
#2: Urban Fantasy Recommendations
This post got a surprising amount of attention. I love urban fantasy, it's my favorite genre, and I just wanted to tell people about some of my favorite series from that genre. I think I did a good job considering it's actually my most viewed post. I had a lot of fun making up the list and narrowing it down. Since then, I have read more urban fantasy so maybe I'll make a follow up post, we'll see.
#1: Rick Riordan Author Profile
This post was definitely my most time consuming one. I spent a lot of time researching his books even though I did know most of them. I also edited that image on my own. In total, I think I spent four hours on that post but it was so worth it because a lot of you guys liked it as well and I got to learn a little bit more about my favorite author.
Those were my top five favorite posts from this year I hope you guys liked them as much as I did. I will continue posting for as long as I can and I'm proud to say I haven't missed a date. Let me know if you have any suggestions for future posts and I'll see you guys in the next one. Bye!
