Top 5 Automatic Buy Authors

So this week I'm going to talk about the top 5 authors that I will automatically buy books from. Obviously. It's in the title. So for most of these authors I've read most of if not all of their books. I'm not going to lie, some of these may be obvious but I still feel the need to say them. Alright, let's get started.

#5: Rainbow Rowell
Okay, so if you haven't already heard of her, Rainbow Rowell has written I believe four books now. Two of which were YA and other two were adult and all of them are contemporary. I have not read all of her books but the ones that I have read I really enjoyed. She does an excellent job at writing light hearted reads for both young adults and adults alike. If you're looking for a good summer read, I highly recommend checking out one of her books.

#4: Jennifer L. Armentrout
This girl knows how to write. If you haven't heard of her already, Jennifer wrote the Lux series, which I have already done a review for, but she has written so much more that I haven't read yet. I actually found her books before all of the hype around her Lux series began but I found her books to be super difficult to find unless you order them online. Or maybe it's just the stores around me. Who knows? Anyway, I've read the description of all of her other books and I genuinely want to read them all. If I could, I would seriously buy all of her books right now.

#3: JK Rowling
I don't know what you were thinking if you thought the queen of writing wasn't going to be on this list. Besides writing Harry Potter, Rowling has written The Casual Vacancy, which I have yet to read but do own, and the Comoran Strike series of which I have read the first book. Side note, it was written under a different pen name. I have enjoyed all of the books that I have read and I plan on reading the rest of her books in the near future. If you haven't read anything by her, I don't know what you are doing with your life.

#2: Cassandra Clare
Now we are getting to my top two favorite authors, Cassandra Clare has written The Shadowhunter Chronicles. If you don't know what those are, stay tuned because I will be going over them in a later post. All of her books are extremely well written and vastly entertaining. Her characters are well developed and the world she created is phenomenal. It is so intricate and unique no one will be able to forget it. She has also began to co-write a middle grade series with Holly Black and I also enjoyed that first book and am waiting for the second book. I have read all of her books and there isn't one that I would say I did not like.

#1: Rick Riordan
And we have arrived to my favorite author. He wrote the Percy Jackson series, The Heros of Olympus series, The Kane Chronicles, and his lesser known adult series, The Tres Navnrre series. Out of all of those, his adult series is the only one I have not read yet. I love his writing, his books are amazing, and they hold a special place in my heart. He writes adventure like no other. It's so impressive and I feel like his middle grade books are something that both children and adults alike can enjoy.

So that was my count down, I hope you guys enjoyed it. I know that there are some amazing authors that I did not put on this list but that may be because I either have not read any of their books or, I have not read enough and liked them all to put that author on the list. There are some that almost did, but I felt like I needed to read a few more of their books before I would pick up any book with their name on it. That's all for this post, I'll see you guys next week.
