Last week I talked about series that I started and haven't finished yet. This week, I'm going to talk about series that I just haven't started at all. So these are some that I've wanted to start for a while but just haven't for whatever reason. So, get your pitch forks and torches ready cuz here we go.
#5: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer
I've been interested in reading this book for quite a while now, but I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Everyone who reads this book loves it and I just haven't picked it up yet. Why? Not sure. I think it's because the narrator is very unreliable and I haven't wanted to read anything like that just yet. I for sure will want to read it someday but I think we'll all have to wait on it.
#4: Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Who doesn't like this series? I think many people, actually, but that's because it isn't for everyone. Is it for me? I don't know but there is only one way to find out and that's to actually read the books. So why haven't I? I don't know. Maybe because I know that if I open this series, it will take me for-freaking-ever to finish it and I want to finish a few more series before I start a new one.
#3: The Vampire Academy
This is probably the most popular vampire series out there. I haven't read many good vampire series so I think that my bad experiences with them just put me off of vampire books for the most part. I will eventually read it because everyone seems to like the series and I want to see what it's all about. I have high hopes for this series so we'll wait and see with this one.
#2: ANYTHING by Brandon Sanderson
Especially his Mistborn series. The covers are beautiful and they sound so epic and action packed and they sound amazing to me. But when will I read it? I don't know. I really want the UK covers but those tend to be a bit more pricey than the US ones but they're so pretty. I want to read it but I think that would be a bit of a commitment because each of the books are pretty long. It's a scary series to start, no lie.
#1: Throne of Glass
This series is crazy popular and here's the thing, I've been wanting to read Throne of Glass LONG BEFORE it was popular! It's such a sucky feeling when you discover something first and other people know way more about it than you do. And because of that, I think I will be reading this series in the near future, hopefully.
So those are my top 5 series that I am ashamed that I haven't read yet and my poor excuses as to why I haven't read them. If you haven't read these series yet, let me know.
